The whimsical signs and charming, handcrafted birdhouses you see here are the work of Mike Gentry, a talented local artisan with a playful, creative spirit. Each one-of-a-kind piece is made by hand, often from mostly repurposed materials, ensuring that no two creations are ever the same. His work, ranging from intricate mansion-style birdhouses to custom signs for your garden or beach house, reflects a true passion for craftsmanship and sustainable design.

This dedication to his craft is built on a foundation of service. Mike proudly served 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel before continuing to support our Armed Forces for another 24 years. His life of service took him across the globe, living and working in 43 states and 16 countries, which gave him a broad perspective and deep appreciation for community and culture that inspires his work today.

Mike lives by a simple philosophy learned from the Scout’s creed: “Never leave a place as it is, but make it better than when you got there.” This guiding principle is visible in every piece he creates.
